Mom and Dad in Town

My parents decided to make one last trip to Seattle before the baby comes. They arrived Thursday afternoon just in time for my doctor's appointment (which we had to wait 2 hours for).We had been slow at work so I managed half days on Thursday and Friday. My parents and I spent Friday and Saturday putting together the baby room! Mike had class this weekend so he missed out on all of the fun. My mom decided that since our changing table was scratched and lighter wood than our other furniture it would look better painted (we got it from a coworker). My dad and I were thinking it sounded like a lot of work, but with the three of us working together, we had it painted in no time and it was well worth it! Saturday night we celebrated Mike's unofficial last day of school (he has to make up one course he sat out on and he has to write his capstone project before he can be totally done). We ate dinner at Indochine in Tacoma and introduced my parents to Thai food!. Sunday was a beautiful day and we attempted to find a place to apple pick. It was a little disappointing however, as the picking was done in a small park and there seemed to be no more apples on the trees. The festival that was going on was strictly for pressing apple cider so since we didn't want to do that we got our 20 apples that we found for free and went home and made some delicious apple cobbler! Monday morning we had to say goodbye as my parents headed back home! The goodbye wasn't as sad as usual because we see them in a few weeks with an addition to our family!!
