John and Nessy’s Wedding

Congratulations to John and Nessy! They had a beautiful wedding and reception in Miami and we had a great time! When we were not at the wedding, we were paddling kayaks with alligators, biking through the Everglades, and swimming at the beach. How could you have a better weekend? Well, Mike lost his wedding ring so I guess than could have been better… That’s what you get for swimming in the ocean, at night, with your wedding ring on. Don’t worry; he got a new one as soon as we got home.

Victoria, BC

Mike and I went to Victoria, Canada with Brianne and and Mary.We left Saturday morning and came back Sunday. We took the Victoria Clipper, a catamaran from Seattle to Victoria. The highlight of the trip was going to Buchart Gardens which is a HUGE botanical garden. That night we search all over downtown for pumpkin spice beer but couldn't find it anywhere (I think Canadians have something against pumpkins). We settled for a small pub near the waterfront and the food great.

On the ride home on the clipper, the four of us were playing cards and it was my turn to shuffle. I was in the process of shuffling for the first time when a lady storms over and whispers to me "you are shuffling too loud and disturbing everyone on the boat" (there were numerous people on the boat playing cards and talking loudly at this time) I told her that "it was not quiet hour" and Mike later told me I was rude. The worst part was is that about 20 minutes later her and her friends start laughing and she in particular laughed so loud and annoying that people turned to look at her!
